Monica Schreck, RN, BSN has joined the Accolade Healthcare team as our Chief Clinical Officer. Monica will oversee the clinical efforts for our six skilled nursing facilities and Saxony Court Senior Living, our independent and assisted Living community.

Monica has been a part of the healthcare industry since she was sixteen years old working as a nurse aide. After high school she became a CNA and attended LPN school. She then went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree in 2006 and worked for a brief time in Critical Care. Starting in 2007 she began her leadership career in long term care as an Assistant Director of Nursing. Throughout the years she has successfully worked as a Director of Nursing, Regional Nurse Consultant, and Chief Nursing Officer. She has two beautiful children and soon to be three grandchildren! While away from the office she enjoys puzzling, reading, caring for her animals and traveling to warmer climates with beaches.

Monica shared what drew her to joining the Accolade Healthcare Family, “I was immediately drawn to Accolade Healthcare after speaking with the owner, Moe Freedman. The culture is unlike any I have experienced in this industry. High quality care and employee satisfaction are directly correlated, and Accolade truly understands this and has developed a culture of staff appreciation and high-quality resident care.”

Monica joined the Accolade Healthcare family in September 2022 and has had time to settle into the new role and share her vision for the clinical department. “My goals as the Chief Clinical Officer include implementing and maintaining key clinical systems management, improving the quality of the EHR documentation, Five Star Rating improvements, and mentoring the nursing leadership staff to promote professional development. All these goals are intended to meet the ultimate goal of providing the most excellent quality of care to our residents and to be the employer of choice for our staff.”

Monica has been a great addition to the leadership team, and we are thrilled she chose to bring her vast knowledge and enthusiasm for long term care to our communities. We know we will be sharing some of her ‘Accolade Achievements’ very soon.
