Accolade Healthcare is happy to announce Heather Bassett has joined the corporate team as our Chief Operating Officer. Heather joined the long-term care workforce over 20 years ago as a Social Worker. She is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the State of Illinois and Indiana along with being a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Illinois.

Heather’s ties to the Midwest are strong as she was born in Chicago, IL and attended Loyola University of Chicago for her bachelor’s degree. Family time is essential with her three daughters, son and two English Bulldogs. While away, she enjoys visiting her daughters in Indianapolis, road trips and gardening.

Heather states, “I was drawn to Accolade because of their commitment to quality, resident centered care, their progressive vision, and their investment in their employees. I hope to bring my own experience, insight, and passion in partnership with the current culture to continue the growth and success of Accolade Healthcare as an innovative provider of nursing and rehabilitation for seniors.”

Heather joins Accolade Healthcare from her most recent role as a Regional Vice President of Operations. “We are pleased to welcome Heather to our leadership team at Accolade Healthcare and grateful she has chosen to bring her experience and talent to our Central Illinois communities,” states Moe Freedman, President of Accolade Healthcare.
